The dining room has two long tables and a bar in the corner. The kitchen is relatively modern for the middle of the jungle with a gas stove.
The 5 hectares include:
2 employee houses
cultivations ( -+1hectare total) of pineapple, acai, camu camu, bananas (5species),limes(3spp) oranges, mandarine, starfruit, passion fruit, cacao, papaya, cashew, and yucca (there are many species of fruit not mentioned)
Roughly 4 hectares of primary and secondary forest with several small streams runnning through, and a wealth of acai growing |
| Architecture |
The lodge was made in a rustic fasion typical to those of the regions inhabitants but of course with its differences. The structure is made of hardwood but the floors and walls are made of stilt palm planks. The stilt palm planks are very tough to work with, do not rot and the insects cant eat it. We chose the palm planks for their durability and as an alternative to destroying many large old growth trees. There are very high ceilings with the finiest braided thatch available, the apexes have been changed this year and get changed every 3-5 years depending on weather and creatures inhabiting it. The roof is good for another 3-5 years, we are often patching some minor holes.
Each room is secure with mosquito proof netting |
| About us |
I Anthony moved to Peru 4 years ago to build a jungle lodge and use its income to fund a wildlife rescue center. I am going on 3 years and I am lacking the infrastructure to keep it moving in the direction needed. I am considering more study on tropical forests and ecosystems yet I lack the means to fund them. |

There is another property close to the lodge of 5 hectares , a speed boat 140hp johnson and a 15 hp outboard johnson |
| Location / Surroundings |
The Lodge is close to the Tributary of the Amazon Oran river Which is the only region in Peru that has archeological remains on the Amazon side. Frequently, pieces of pottery, spears, stone axe heads and other organic artifacts such as fossils and petrified wood are found. The whole area is loaded with wildlife, I have managed the forests in such a way that it promotes foraging in many species of animals. We have frequent visitors such as peccaris, monkeys of several species, hundreds of species of birds. We are in the home range of jaguars, tapirs and crested eagles.. The village of Oran is located 2 km from the lodge, next year, there will be electricity brought from the village. The river Oran is rich in biodiversity and is know as a hotspot for rare geografically isolated species of fauna and flora.
The lodge is perfect for eco-tourism because of its proximity to so many ecosystems such as:
Amazonian beaches ,flood plains and islands
Flooded forest
Terra firma primary forest
Black water rivers and lakes
several communities of Yagua Native Americans |
