Located 8 km southeast of Puerto Libertad in northwest Sonora, Mexico (Latitud 29º550 N, Longitud 112º430 W) in a large valley surrounded by mountains. It borders along 13 km approx. with the Coastal Highway and extends to the foothills of the surrounding mountains, affording a view of the Gulf of California from more than 50% of the land. |

The climate is dry and warm, with an average annual temperature of 83º F and an average annual rainfall of 150 mm. During the months of December and January there can be ocassional rainshowers and the temperatures will fluctuate between 32º and 77º F. |

The soil type is sandy and the vegetation is semi desertic, including an abundance of plants such as: chollas, ocotillo, ironwood, paloverde, pitalla, prickly pear, bisnaga, and the unique saguaro cactuses. Underneath this area lies the only source of fresh water in the zone.
