he property lies along the Huaqui river, 494 km south of Santiago and 20 km north of the city of Los Angeles. It is situated 2 km east of the Pan American Highway, the major North-South highway in Chile.
Los Angeles is located about 110 km south of Chillán and about 130 southeast of Concepción, the regional capital of the Bío-Bío region. The summers in the south of Chile are very hot (30°C) during the day but soothingly cool at night. It has a moderately dry climate with the rainy part of Chile beginning only south of Los Angeles. The main activities of the city are agriculture and forestry and it is located conveniently right off the Pan American Highway.
There are sufficient schools (also of good quality) in town – up to university level. Some of the study programs of the University of Concepción are offered at Los Angeles, too. Private Schools (among others, the German School, Colegio Alemán) have fees of around 150 Euros per child and month. Los Angeles is an emerging city (about 160,000 residents) and provides everything necessary such as shopping centers, hardware stores, banks, schools, cafés, culture etc. For an additional charge, goods are also delivered right to the house. |
